To The Kiddos I Babysit For
To Allie, Eli, Bella and Norah,
Let me start off with the fact that you four have changed my life and I love you more than you will ever know. God loves you the most, your parents may love you the second most, but I love you the third most. Throughout the past three years of babysitting you four, I've learned so much about each one of you, but also so much about myself. Allie, I love hearing your stories. Eli, I love watching all of the adventures you want to go on and hearing all of your witty comments. Bella, I love your sweet voice and your innocent soul that sometimes wants nothing more than to just sit on my lap and Norah, I love your little scooting moves and watching all of your firsts. Babysitting for you four has easily been one of the highlights of my high school career and you have only cemented my dream of working with kids for the rest of my life. Although I babysit for several families, there is something special about yours. There is nothing more precious than your sweet little voices yelling my name, "Faithy," as soon as I walk in the door. Although you may not know it, I love hearing that every single time and it warms my heart. I enjoy hearing your stories and about how each one of your days went. I love seeing your faces when I tell you we get to play outside or I get to take you somewhere special. I love being the person that knows exactly what you are going to order at a restaurant. You guys are like the perfect siblings to me, I get to love on you and care for you but at the end of the day we aren't fighting or not getting along. I love getting to put you to bed and getting hugs before I leave and hearing "see you next time, love you, Faith Fox." Thank you for always respecting me, making absolutely unforgettable memories with me, challenging me, teaching me new things and ideas, showing me the things that are important to you, sharing parts of your life with me, reminding me that little people are some of the most important and always reminding me in the little things you do that you love me. You've taught me about unconditional love, uncontrollable laughter and all sorts of things about patience. You've shown me that you don't have to be related by blood to be family and for that, I am so thankful. I pray that one day I have kiddos as amazing as you are!
To Eric and Nicole,
I owe you more thank you's than I could ever think of. Thank you for letting me love your kids and accepting me into your family. Thank you for always giving me the benefit of the doubt. Thank you for giving me new experiences and literally loving me like your own child. Thank you for every nice thing you did for me, whether I knew about it or not. Thank you for being such special people to me that you make me cry thinking about not getting to see you guys every week starting in the fall. Thank you for always reminding me how proud you are of me. Thank you for trusting me with your babies. Thank you for not getting mad when I probably took the kids to get ice cream one too many times. Thank you for always being there when I needed you the most, whether it was a simple text or filling up my gas tank for me. Thank you for always showing me the utmost love and being a set of second parents to me.
